Vision, Variety, Velocity and Missionary zeal leads to Victory
“Victory is
not won in miles but inches. Hold your ground, and later win a little more.”
– Louis L’Amour
To build your long term career and achieve greater heights,
you must have a well-conceived vision and missionary zeal. If you are determined,
you can convert defeat into victory by timely and appropriate action. Victory
comes through knowing the strategy of your competitor and strike at the place and timing
of your choosing. Some salient points which can help you in your climbing the
corporate ladder are given following sections:
·
Vacillate. Do
not keep vacillating and miss the opportunity. Instead, jump to the occasion
and grab the opportunity.
·
Values. Give
importance to human values and organization values and traditions. Don’t go
crazy about quick success, but try to become a person of value.
· Valuable.
Keep your valuable information safe and secured. Likewise, preserve you valuable resources, key persons
and critical material to deal with any critical situation,
· Valid.Always
hold valid Passport, Visa, Credit Card, Insurance policy and Driving Licence

action and work of team should be easy to validate and determine that it meets
customer requirement fully. There must be evidence/proof of action taken and the result achieved by you. Apply the same yardstick to your team.
·

During the execution of any project, campaign, or business activity, there should
be very minimal variation to the budgeted activities. There will be unforeseen
situations causing some deviation. It is your becoming leadership to ensure
that variance is within acceptable limits of tolerance.
· Variety. It is
well said that “Change is spice of life”.
Indeed, variety in inputs and processes help in creative thinking, product
design and innovation. A good variety in your dresses, food and exercises will keep you healthy and happy.
· Verify, What
you design, manufacture and deliver must
be verified to ensure that it meets customer requirement fully. Similarly, any
information coming in from outside sources must be verified/authenticated for its credibility.
Always make decisions based on verified information and not on a hear-say.
·
Vegan. Of late, a large number of people are vegetarian. Even in
west Vegan movement is gaining momentum, Eating fresh green vegetables keeps
you healthier than eating meat. There
are many top-level athletes, and sportspersons who are vegan and they perform
very well.
·

with easy availability of fast and low-cost internet facilities and data flowing
on multi-media, data velocity has
increased many folds. You need to
incorporate technology in a big way to cope up with the variety and velocity of

As a manager/team leader you must quickly examine the viability of a project or
task and bring cost-benefit analysis to the notice of your seniors. A
project/job which is not technically or financially viable should not be
undertaken.
·
Victimize. You
should ensure that no one is unduly harassed or victimized for being frank and
outspoken about work environment and administration. Particularly, ensure that
no one is victimized on the basis of caste, creed, religion or gender.
·
Victory for the determined. Determined and risk-taking Army General, Patton,
US Army turned defeat into victory during
World War II. You must maintain your perseverance and don’t give up since
victory is just ahead. It is your leadership and ability to take right position
and strike at the appropriate time to come out victorious.

animosity and rift in the team and a drop in productivity of the team. You should
have larger heart to patch up and cheer up.

corona pandemic all over the world, technology has come to the aid of all to
switch from physical mode to virtual mode. Education, service industry, healthcare, e-Governance are using teleconferencing , zoom meetings and skype facility.
